At Cambia Hills, our comprehensive mental health services for youth are tailored to each individual. Our goal is to restore family harmony, stabilize behavior, and cultivate wellness. Mental health practitioners and therapists go beyond the "what" is going on to determine the "why".
The name, "Cambia Hills", is derived from the word "cambium" - an element found in trees that serves as a protective layer to promote growth. Beyond the vast number of trees covering our main campus, the analogy of cambium parallels the growth that occurs in young people each day at Cambia Hills.
Our Cambia Hills Day Treatment program keeps youth, ages 12 to 17, in their home and community, with a structured school setting and therapeutic services Monday through Friday. As youth transition out of day treatment, after-care services offered to the client and their family include skill development, connections to community resources and continued individual and/or family therapy.
For those who may need more intensive treatment, our Cambia Hills Residential Treatment program offers behavior stabilization, skill development and therapeutic services.
Clients gain and practice essential skills - such as problem solving, communication and coping - surrounding their diagnoses, and families have the opportunity to work together in order to improve in areas such as communication, limit setting and positive reinforcement. This program is available to boys and girls ages 12 to 17. Coming soon: residential care for boys ages 10-11 years old.
