Neighborhood Youth Services (NYS), located in downtown Duluth’s Washington Community Center, is a voluntary resource for neighborhood youth (ages 6 to 18) that develops assets and awareness while providing a safe place where children can learn, play and connect with the community, friends and family. The program is offered Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 7 p.m. Summer hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

NYS also offers young people (ages 15 to 21) opportunities to develop job-readiness skills, explore a variety of careers and occupations and define the educational needs to prepare for a particular career through the JET (Jobs Education and Training) Project.
